Salts (I) formed from a water-soluble or -dispersible salt of an agriculturally useful 'fine chemical' (II) and a polymer (III) contg. acid gps., are new. (I) releases (II) (esp. herbicides or pesticides) slowly over a long period and, where (II) is unstable under alkaline conditions, protects it against hydrolysis, Specified nII) are N-aryl amidines; guanidines; phenylformamidines and phenylmethylcarbamates esp. the ovicide and acaricide (N'-(4-chloro-2-methylphenyl)-N,N-dimethylformamidine.
