Hang glider with power assist - has propeller motors rigidly attached to ends of transverse frame members with controls operated via Bowden cables
The motorised hang glider has a tubular frame consisting of a longitudinal pipe and a transverse pipe fitted with a triangular control bow. A propeller motor(8, 9) is fitted to each end of the transverse pipe(2), and these motors are controlled by operating controls(10, 11) fitted on the downward pointing stays(3b, 3c) connected to the control bow. The propeller motors are equipped with centrifugal clutches and the operating controls include bowden cables extending along the stays of the control bow.
