Building with separated dwelling levels - consists of arches joined by cells forming dwellings accessible via lifts and stairs provided in vertical columns
The multi-apartment building is designed to leave the maximum area of ground free to form parks, gardens etc. It comprises a series of arches (1, 2, 3) joined together by cells (5) forming individual dwellings. The arches are parallel, and the cells are aligned horizontally and at different levels, with spaces between the levels. There may be vertical columns (15, 16) between each pair of arches, each with a lift and a staircase, giving access by gangways to the different levels. The arches can support the various ducts for ventilation, heating, wiring etc., also having brackets supporting horizontal beams for the cells.
