The electrically-controlled cloakroom has a frame with a chain carrying supports and coat hangers. The chain is driven by the sprocket on the shaft of an electric motor operation of which is regulated by a control unit, so as to bring a particular support and coat hanger to the issuing point. There may be two pillars supporting motor and sprocket, the chain, running round the pillars, each of which has a support wheel against which pulleys on the supports run. There may be notches in the sprocket, these driving rods carrying the supports. Each rod can be carried by a cage, suspended by rollers from a rail on the frame.
