The installation is to prevent the formation of obstructions by slow flowing bulk goods in silos. It consists of friction brakes attached to the interior wall of the silo at different heights and which are formed as projections with brake surfaces inclined downwards towards the centre of the container. The friction brakes (8, 11) are positioned in the corners of the silo where the silo has a rectangular cross section. Several of the friction brakes may be located at the same height or alternatively several of the brakes may be offset in height in relation to each other.
