1,089,290. Edge connectors. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Sept. 24, 1965 [Sept. 26, 1964], No. 40759/65. Addition to 1,071,695. Heading H2E. A printed circuit board, which is inserted to different extents into an edge connector to make different connections between the contacts of the latter as described in Specification 1,071,695, has notches 2, Fig. 3, or a projection 18, Fig. 5, on one edge only which co-operate or co-operates with a latch 8 to hold the board in the different positions. As shown, the latch 8 has a projection 9 and abutments 11 and 15 to prevent lateral movement of the board, but for co-operation with a single projection 18, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), it has a slot 17SP1/SP with a resilient projection 20 or projections (20SP1/SP) to hold the board in two alternative positions, into one of which it may be spring urged.
