In an endless-chain mining-machine, the jib is supported from a mobile carriage by an adjustable parallelogram linkage that is mounted on the carriage by a universal head. On the carriage N is mounted a body H in which is rotatably positioned a head D that carries a shaft E the axis of rotation of which is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the head O. On the shaft are secured pins F, FSP1/SP, the longitudinal axes of which are perpendicular to both of the previously mentioned axes. The pins carry a parallelogram linkwork C on the other end of which is secured by pins FSP2/SP, FSP3/SP, disposed parallel to the pins F, FSP1/SP, a supporting head B on which is rotatably mounted the jib A. Hydraulic jacks G effect adjustment of the parallelogram linkage. The body H is anchored either directly or by means of the undercarriage between the floor and the roof of the seam by pneumatic or hydraulic jacks L, LSP1/SP.
