[Class 87 (i)] A building slab comprises a reinforced plaster or cement facing 1 in which ribs or battens 2 are embedded with cross members when required, reinforced to form a structural unit and having keying members 8 projecting at the edges for bonding at the joints. A second facing layer may be applied forming a hollow slab, Fig. 4, the facing layers 1 projecting at 9 beyond the ribs 2; the projections 8 of the reinforcements are shown keyed in the jointing cement 11.
