[Class 27] [Also in Group XIX] A registering coin-savings bank comprises a rectangular casing, Fig. 4, open at its lower end and having a coin slot 151 in its upper end, a window 551 in one side wall, a door 101 for the lower end and registering mechanism mounted on a plate 161 insertable as an entity through the lower end of the casing, the plate 161 having means 171, 191 for positioning it within the casing. The coin is inserted in the slot 151 and is pushed to the left by the manual movement of a slide 411. During this movement, the coin engages the end 46a of a lever 431 pivoted at 441 and rocks this lever clockwise to move a spring arm 481 into the next hole 311 of an indicating disc 231, this disc being held against anticlockwise rotation by a pawl 521. When the lever 431 is returned by a spring 511, the arm 481 advances the indicating disc 231, over-run being prevented by a further arm 491. The indicating disc 231 has date figures viewed through the window 551 and is provided with a tooth 301 which operates a month-name indicating disc 321. The indicating disc 231 can be adjusted by a key inserted through an opening 291.
