127,264. Debauge, H. March 30, 1916. Machine guns, cooling. - Relates to cooling means of the kind in which the cooling-medium comprises a fusible alloy. The invention comprises an arrangement applicable to removable machine-gun barrels, consisting in longitudinally grooving the barrel at the outer end a' and also at the part a which slides into the machine-gun frame c, so that these parts are of star-shaped crosssection. Around the fore-part of the barrel, a corrugated casing g is soldered, and the rear part is enclosed by a cylindrical casing b. The part b of the barrel is surrounded by a double casing secured on the machine-gun frame. The spaces within the casings g, b, f are filled with an alloy fusible at a relatively low temperature.
