This device was created to make the moving of honey bee hives to a new location less problematic for Bee Keepers.;Once placed in the hive entrance it allows honey bees to enter the hive but disrupts their normal pattern of exit. Bees are now trapped in the hive making it simpler to move. When catching honey bee swarms, this device placed in the entrance makes coming back for the swarm box more convenient. Retrieving it can be done at any time of day. This device may also be used to stop honey robbing of a weaker less populated hives. When robber honey bees have been trapped within the hive for three or more days they become acclimated to the established honey bees. This provides more forager bees for the hive making it stronger so it may protect itself from robbing.
