PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demand prediction model evaluation apparatus which can confirm how the predicted inventory number of articles is shifted.SOLUTION: A demand prediction model evaluation apparatus has a first receiving unit for receiving an input of an actual shipment number of an article in a reference period of a past inventory number management period up to a final inventory record value in an evaluation period after the reference period, a second receiving unit for receiving an input of a shipment prediction value of the article in a demand prediction model in the reference period, a predicted ordering number calculating unit for calculating a predicted ordering number in each of unit period cycles based on the inventory number and the shipment prediction value, an estimated inventory number calculating unit for calculating an estimated inventory number in each of the unit period cycles based on the actual shipment number and the predicted ordering number, an inventory evaluating unit for calculating difference between the final estimated inventory number and the final inventory record value based on the estimated inventory number at the end of the evaluation period and the final inventory record value, and a display unit for displaying the difference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
