For the computational evaluation of mechanical stresses in high-temperature piping systems, relaxation effects are currently only taken into account in the planning and design phase. The new method is also intended to allow relaxation effects to be taken into account in the context of stress evaluation on the basis of metrologically recorded support forces during operation. The calculation method according to the invention requires a certain number n of force measurements on rigid pipe supports in the vertical direction. For each of these n force measurements, the state of relaxation of the pipe section above is mapped to the next rigid support on the basis of an edge point deformation on a linear-elastic calculation model of the pipe. The edge point deformations are determined in such a way that the support forces measured during operation are also set in the calculation model. The method is suitable, for example, for use in monitoring systems for monitoring the service life of pipeline systems in coal-fired power plants, in order to check whether the creep strength of the pipeline material is exceeded or whether the pipeline is operated in the desired voltage range.
