In this case, the output voltage of the synchronous generator (4) with the help of the field current regulator (6) is stabilized at the nominal value Un. The current of the synchronous generator (4) has a value due to the additional load (13) connected to its stator windings. When the engine starts, the current increases and the output voltage of the synchronous generator (4) decreases. In case of simultaneous current and voltage deviation of the preset threshold levels, the speed controller (1) of the diesel engine (3) reduces the rotational speed of the diesel generator set to the set value and stabilizes it until the start of the induction motor is completed (14) at reduced frequency. After reducing the current and reducing the voltage deviation of the synchronous generator (4) to the set levels, the regulator (1) of the diesel engine (3) smoothly increases the rotational speed to the nominal value. The voltage of the synchronous generator (4) also increases to the nominal value Un.
