PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transmission characteristic measurement method and a heat insulation performance evaluation method capable of properly evaluating a heat insulation performance of a translucent member according to an actual use condition.SOLUTION: A heat transmission characteristic measurement method without having a light irradiation executes a temperature rise step of causing an internal electric bulb 3 to be driven by a substantially constant power consumption until an internal temperature becomes an equilibrium temperature Tc, and a heat transmission coefficient Uc can be calculated by dividing a consumption power AvW of the internal electric bulb 3 by a difference between the equilibrium temperature Tc and an atmosphere temperature Ts. In this case, the formula for calculating the heat transmission coefficient Uc under the arbitrary temperature condition can be obtained by calculating an emissivity ε of a translucent member based on the heat transmission coefficient Uc, and the heat insulation performance of the translucent member according to the temperature condition can be properly estimated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
