FIELD: forestry. ;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of logging, and in particular to methods for the development of cutting areas with mixed coniferous-deciduous plantations, including aspen trees. The method uses a feller-delimbing-bucking machine with a harvester head, on which rotary jaws are installed with guide rollers mounted on them, between which a flexible cutting body in the form of a wire saw is stretched. Harvesting of assortments in the felling area is carried out by performing operations on cutting trees, cutting branches from the trunks of fallen trees, crosscutting into assortments, and removing assortments from the felling area. Aspen trees are grasped by the swivel jaws of the harvester head. A flexible cutting body is used to cut the bark and outer layers of wood. Aspen trees are left to stand on their roots until they dry. After the standing aspen trees have dried up, the harvester carries out their cutting, branching, crosscutting into assortments, and the removal of assortments from the cutting area is carried out by forwarders.;EFFECT: method reduces the work labour input to combat the basal vegetation of aspen trees after felling, the creation of more favorable conditions for natural reforestation.;1 cl, 2 dwg
