The invention relates to a method for controlling smart glasses while a motor vehicle is travelling. An output content (204) for smart glasses (118) is intended to be generated dynamically on the basis of stipulated path intervals (202) on a path of movement (200) along which the smart glasses (118) move. The path intervals (202) are stipulated by property criteria (300). Each property criterion (300) and therefore each path interval (202) stipulated by means of the property criterion has a specific associated output content (204). Whenever the smart glasses (118) reach a position on the path of movement (200) that is included in such a path interval (202), the associated output content (204) is output to a user by means of the smart glasses (118). The property criteria (300) can be applied to arbitrary or different paths of movement (200). A single vehicle property criterion is therefore sufficient to generate the output content (204) for different paths of movement (200) dynamically.
