A vertical structure system with a movable mechanism for supporting, locking, and regulating the height of life-lines, either temporary or permanent, that exceed the height of or project above the worker, comprising a vertical structure or tower (1), and incorporating at least one movable support or level (2), linked to or movably slotted into said structure (1) which, by means of manual or mechanical action is displaced upward or downward along a vertical or levelling displacement means (3) and which is attached at a working height by means of a fixture or clamp (4). Two vertical structures (1) disposed fixedly at the same level in the building, and connected one to the other by a life-line, form the system.
