A testing method and apparatus based on display panel data mischarging. The method comprises: a PC uses a bus to control a pixel group to output a solid color picture; controls the charging time of a master to remain unchanged, and adjusts the charging time of a timing controller; determines whether measurement data of an optical testing instrument is greater than a first threshold and observes whether an obvious boundary is present in the middle of a display panel; and if yes, determines a mischarging time.
