A communication terminal apparatus provided with an OFDM communication apparatus comprising: a determining section (102); anda generating section (104) adapted to perform inverse Fourier transform processing onan information signal anda number of known signals for transmission path estimation determined by the determining section (102), wherein the known signals for transmission path estimation are transmission path estimation preamble symbols, andto generate a burst unit signal for a communicating party, the burst unit signal including the number of transmission path estimation preamble symbols determined by the determining section (102) and the information signal, characterized in that said determining section (102) is adapted to date the number of known signals for transmission path estimation to be inserted in the burst unit signal-based on channel quality with respect to the communicating party.
