Method for cardiomyocyte maturation on amniotic fluid cell-derived ECM, cell structure, and use for cardiac toxicity and anterior vein screening of drug compounds
Cell-derived extracellular matrix ( AFC-) derived in vitro from cells isolated from amniotic fluid for maturation of immature cardiomyocytes (immature hiPSC-CM) derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells in culture to form mature cardiomyocytes ECM) is disclosed herein. Also disclosed herein are cell structures comprising a monolayer of such mature cardiomyocytes on AFC-ECM useful for cardiac toxicity and/or anterior vein screening assays of drug compounds. Also disclosed herein is a method for determining in vitro the cardiac toxicity and/or anterior venous effect of a drug compound using such cellular structures.
