Computer system for conveying medical information and for recording the type and scope of the conveyed medical information as part of a patient's informed consent to medical treatment, the computer system being configured to receive inputs from the patient, the inputs specifying which information units are to be issued to the patient,◯ the order in which the information units are to be issued and◯ the form in which the information units are to be issued - the information units are to be issued in accordance with the patient's input, with each information unit being designed in such a way that it is written and/or spoken text, whereby the total number of characters of the text in written form is less than 500,- the following information is to be recorded: ◯ which information units were not or not completely issued to the patient and/or which the patient skipped, ◯ whether and, if so, which information units were not output as a result of an entry by the patient despite an indication of their importance, ◯ whether and, if so, which questions and/or comments and/or evaluations the patient submitted to one or more information units and◯ how much time the patient spent consuming individual information units,- to document the input received and information recorded, and- to hand over the documented input and information to a doctor.
