Computer system for the provision of medical information and for the recording of the type and extent of medical information transmitted within the framework of an informed consent of a patient to medical treatment, the computer system being configured-to receive inputs from the patient, indicating the inputs;Information units to be issued to the patientthe order in which the information units are to be issued; andthe form in which the information units are to be issued,Issue the information units according to the patient's inputs, each information unit being designed to include written and/or spoken text, the total number of characters of the text in written form being less than 500,To collect the following information:which information units have not or have not been issued in full to the patient and/or which the patient has skipped,If and, if applicable, which units of information have not been issued as a result of the patient's input despite an indication of their importance,whether and, if applicable, what questions and/or comments and/or evaluations the patient has made on one or more information units; andhow much time the patient has spent consuming individual units of information,to document the input received and the information collected; andIssue documented inputs and information to a doctor.
