A system (1), and a related method (400), for detecting a possible situation of harassment to people in an indoor area (4), wherein a detecting apparatus (100) is configured to detect at least biometric data relative to at least one person (2) located in the indoor area (4), a data elaboration system (300) is configured to calculate, based on at least the biometric data received from the detecting apparatus (100), a parameter indicative of a possible situation of harassment to said person (2), and to generate an alarm signal if the calculated parameter exceeds a predetermined threshold, and a control system (500, 600) is configured, upon receiving said alarm signal, first to localize the position of said person (2) inside the indoor area (4), and then to start recording evidence of the possible situation of harassment to said person (2).
