The invention concerns a procedure for operating a planning operating system. The planning operating system has a stator, several runners and a main control device. The stator has several exposed stator guides. An influx of stator guides is controllable with the help of the main tax device. Each runner shall have a magnetic device with at least one runner magnet. There is a magnetic interaction between the stressed stator guides and the magnetic devices of the runners,to drive the runners. Each runner shall be assigned at least a separate runner identification. An identification of the runners shall be carried out by providing position information of the runners and runner identifiers, and by means of the main tax facility, the position information provided by the runners shall be linked to the runner's provided running identifiers. The invention also concerns a planning operating system.
