The present invention relates to a stent implant for glaucoma treatment by aqueous humor drainage from the anterior chamber, preferably into the suprachoroidal space.The stent implant according to the invention is designed to perform a change of shape after insertion into the eye, in which the width and/or thickness or the flow cross-section at least one location of the stent implant is increased by more than 20%, preferably more than 200% and particularly preferably by more than 400% is increased.In the case of aqueous humor drainage from the anterior chamber into the suprachoroidal space, a possibly opening cyclodialysis gap can be closed at least largely or completely.The proposed stent implant is particularly intended for aqueous drainage into the suprachoroidal space. With appropriate adaptations, the stent implant is also applicable for trabecular, uveoscleral, uveolsymphatic and subconjunctival applications for aqueous drainage from the anterior chamber. Even for direct aqueous drainage from the anterior chamber to the surface of the eye, an application is possible.
