Phosphorus and boron doped, homogeneous and Gaussian profile emitters have been optimized for each case of surface doping level using the most suitable values for the internal parameters and the correspondent metal-grid factor. Both types showed to have high quality: high emitter collection efficiency and low emitter recombination. Complete structure output parameters, n~+pp~+ and p~+nn~+, were analyzed as functions of the emitter thicknesses showing that high efficiencies, η≈ 22.6% and η ≈ 21.2%, can be achieved for the former and the later structures, accordingly. A remarkable point is that there is a wide range of emitter thicknesses providing high efficiencies.
