摘要

This paper builds a structural equation model to explore the main restrictions on the performance of the financial support system (FSS) for small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based on a survey in Zhejiang province,China.Unlike some literatures suggested that the Chinese government hampered and messed the effective financing of SMEs due to its improper administrative intervention,our results show that the government,compared to other types of agents involved,has played the most important role in comprising a structurally sound FSS,and has played a positive role in improving the performance of the FSS.As the direct beneficiaries of the FSS,SMEs have been less recognized than they deserve to be for their external financing ability.
