摘要

The present paper describes an optical fibre pH sensor capable of covering a very broad range (more than 7 pH units) by means of a single acid-base indicator, methyl red properly immobilized on CPG. Tests on the photostability of the dye, exposed to different levels of light, were carried out. Characterization of the sensor was performed with an optoelectronic unit using light-emitting diodes as sources and a proper electronic circuit as the detecting system.
