摘要

We analyze typical problems faced by students studying theoretical CS courses. The relevant misconceptions and mistakes are especially painful in distance learning where face-to-face tutorial sessions are rare or none. In this context, search for effective ways of addressing such problems is of great importance. This is the main goal of our work that is based on course "Automata and Formal Languages" (AFL).
