Foods and feeds can become contaiminated by various causes and processes. Contamination generally has a negative impact on the quality of food and feed and may imply a risk to human or animal health. contamination shall therefore be prevented or reduced as much as possible. Several actions (Table.1) can be taken to reduce levels in food and feed and keep levels as low as reasonably achievable.
