We have investigated the influence of temperature on the rheological behaviour of rapid-setting Portland cement pastes prepared with a polycarboxylate-based superplasticiser and optionally microsilica. After mixing at room temperature, a thermoregulated viscometer was used to determine the apparent viscosity and an estimative yield stress value for different compositions of the mixes in terms of superplasticiser dosage and presence of microsilica, as well as for different times of processing in their preparation. Dependence of the saturation dosage of the superplasticiser with temperature and times of mixing was observed.
