摘要

The paper deals with the efficient use of EU Structural Funds. The main aim of this paper is to evaluate public expenditure from the EU Structural Funds in regions of the Czech Republic in the programming period 2004 - 2006 that was intended to support businesses in the development of regional and local tourism infrastructure. The evaluation was made by the cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA). The results of the analysis of individual projects indicate relatively different status of individual Czech regions in relation to the efficiency of the use of financial resources from the Structural Funds, and also show the need to strengthen the assessment and evaluation activities of the governing authorities of the operational programs in relation to the efficiency at the micro-level of funded projects.
