Thermodynamics Research Center (TRC), one of the oldest and most authoritative thermophysical property data centers, was founded in 1942 within the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) in Washington, D. C. After moving to the Carnegie Institute of Technology (Pittsburgh, PA) in 1955 and to Texas A&M University (College Station, TX) in 1961, TRC has rejoined the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder, CO in September, 2000. A historical review of major TRC data activities and research projects will be given including such projects as API-44, MCA Tables, TRC Tables-Hydrocarbons, TRC Tables-Non-Hydrocarbons, and the International Data Series.
