摘要

The maritime education and training is executed mainly according to the international convention on Standards of Training,Certification and Watchkeeping for seafarers (STCW)1)2).The competence of seafarers was clarified by the STCW convention.However,it is inevitable that the decrement of the nautical graduates employed as seafarers in the shipping developed country.Furthermore,the increase of the nautical graduates employed by maritime-related industry was confirmed according to the investigated results.Hence,the current system of the maritime education and training in the shipping developed country won't satisfy the demand of the maritime community.In this paper,some questionnaires on the Self-Sufficiency Ratio of the seafarers in shipping company and the Job Opportunity ratio of the nautical graduates from maritime University was conduced.In accordance with the investigated results,we try to establish a new system of maritime education and training in shipping developed country.
