摘要

In this paper, the analysis of a plane square tensile impulse wave acting on a finite-size crack at oblique incidence is proposed. Under the action of compression-shear or tension-shear cases, stresses can be rapidly applied at the crack ends. By taking account of time duration, the stress field near the crack is obtained from the super-position of the incidence waves and reflection waves. The dynamic stress intensity factor (DSIF) is calculated from the equations developed in terms of the change of stress-free zone and the stress field. The angle of initiation of the crack can be predicted. The method of optimizing fracture by stress pulses is discussed.
