摘要

Research into bullwhip effect (TBF) in supply chains has emerged as a global hot topic in modern enterprises management theory. With the aid of system dynamics modeling tool, the present paper mainly discusses the government's influence in alleviating the bullwhip effect in the Chinese book supply chain ( CBSC ) . TBF has brought CBSC large economic losses. Authoritative data from Beijing show that overstock in Xinhua bookstores alone amounts to over three hundred million Yuan ( RMB) annually due to TBF - a sum which is almost equal the gross amount of book sales, let alone economic losses of the whole CBSC. The question of how to reduce TBF and ensure profitability in the industry is an important one and the government is expected to play an increasingly important role in finding a solution to the problem. The paper starts with a review of the current status of research on the bullwhip effect in the world. It then analyzes the structure of the Chinese book supply chain and points out the government's large influence on the structure of CBSC. Secondly, it sets up a System Dynamics Modeling to alleviate the bullwhip effect in the CBSC based on Electronic Supply Chain Management ( E - SCM) mode. Thirdly, it provides an explanation of the causes and harm of the bullwhip effect in the CBSC. Lastly, a series of countermeasures are proposed. In the paper, the experiences of book supply chain management in four foreign industrialized , countries are summarized. These are useful in helping alleviate the problem of bullwhip effect in China as well as making the Chinese book supply chain more . competitive.
