Additives and gases during dissolution in the polymer occupy zones with lower density packing which are the elements of disorder in the arrangement of macromolecules either of relaxation or of topological nature. If the free volume is less than that necessary for sopriton of the additive molecule, the dissolution requires rearrangement of this center resulting in change of the polymer structure. This could be particularly important for large sized molecules. The regularities in the solubility, migration and chemical reactions of additives in polymers in the light of their non-unique distribution are discussed.
