摘要

The effect of annealing on the structural and optical properties of undoped and yttrium doped ZnO films on Si (100) substrates has been investigated. Yttrium nitrate hexahydrate (Y_2NO_3.~6H_2O) was used as the dopant (3 wt %) in the present study. The as grown films were found to be amorphous and onset of polycrystallinity is observed with annealing. The Yttrium doped films exhibit only visible emission in contrast with sharp UV along with a low visible emission in the undoped films.
