摘要

This paper describes a new control strategy for gasoline engines that is based on engine torque. The reference for the calcualtion of the different actuator set points is a torque demand variable. This makes it possible to consider the influence on torque of both - manipulated variables inside the engine control system and signals belonging to external systems - at one central point. Therefore controlling the interaction between different components of electronic systems inside the vehicle is facilitated. This gives rise to new possibilities to extend the control strategy and to improve driveability.
