摘要

This study estimated effect of various factors on the production reliability of the LNG-FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading Unit) in the conceptual design stage. Even though it is clear that the production availability is affected by such factors as failure rate, repair time, spurious trip, or detrimental accidents, it is difficult to assess their impact in the early design stage. The factors were categorized into two classes depending on their nature in the system constitution: internal and external classes. The former includes the sub-classes with the production system: process unit, utility unit, and safety system unit while the latter consists of the sub-classes of external functional failure and external accident. When necessary, some of the sub-classes were broken into sub-sub-classes. Instead of estimating the sensitivity of the factors through input-output analysis, the leading order of magnitude of each factor was estimate.
