摘要

The potential of in vitro tissue culture as a breeding tool has received wide attention, recognizing the genetic changes induced by callus culture [1]. Phenotypic markers that are stable in conventional vegetative propagation provide a tool for examining the rate and extent of these changes. Development of molecular markers, particularly for sugar cane genome mapping, is currently being performed by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) and polymerase chain reaction technologies [2].
