This paper studies the ideological and political education in the management of Ideological and political education in Colleges and universities, and combines the K mean algorithm in cluster analysis to analyze the assessment and quantification of the counselors' work. Based on the instructor's certification system, the decision support system of college counselors is designed. The results show that the quantitative system of College Counselors' work assessment based on cluster analysis can effectively excavate some valuable data and help to improve the management level of Ideological and political education.
