[Objective] The toxicity, toxicology, metabolize toxicology, poisoning symptom of unsymmetrical dimethyl hydrazine (UDMH) were analyzed, on the basis of analysis, poisoning approach, effective protection measures and health care of UDMH in the course of operation and storage were suggested. [Methods] By means of analysis of every exposure approaches in the course of operation and storage, potential poisoning approaches were established. By means of analysis of the toxicity, toxicology of UDMH, protection measures and health care were suggested. [Result] The main poisoning approaches included transportation, filling, trans-filling, flow back, sampling and test, daily check, trouble shooting, waste liquid treatment, etc. The protection measures included three steps of the sanitation and protection when exposed to UDMH atmosphere, aid first measures in the accident spot, health care for personnel exposed to UDMH for long time. [Conclusions] As UDMH is poisonous to personnel, feasible protection measure is useful to weaken the toxic effects. For personnel exposed to low dose for long time, daily nutrition health care protection as effective as physical and chemical measures.
