Screening wheat new lines with resistance to Fusarium graminearum, were conducted by in vitro induced mutation and cell screening. The inoculation in field showed that the resistance of mutant 92K809 was 1—2 degree higher than that of its parent. Under treatment of scab pathogenic crude toxin, the cellular ultrastructure of the disease-resistant mutant and its parent was different. With increase of time exposed to scab toxin, the damage on organelle became serious. However, the disruption of cellular ultrastructure occurred more slightly and later in mutant 92K809 than its parent XinKe No. 9. The most sensitive organelle to toxin was mitochondria, then in the order of chloroplast, cytoplasm and nucleus membrane. The effect of scab toxin on pathogenic mechanism was discussed.
