摘要

Over recent years, structural health monitoring techniques to detect deterioration or damage using sensors attached to concrete structures are attracting wide attention. The authors have developed an electrically conductive film sensor bonded to the concrete surface to detect cracks and measure crack width. A crack monitoring system with this sensor enables low cost, because it does not need special equipment except for an electrical resistance meter. In this study, a lateral loading test on a column is also performed, resulting in that the sensor is applicable to the actual concrete structures subjected to multi-crack conditions.
