The nonlinear optical response of interacting charge-transfer excitons (CTEs) is investigated theoretically by means of pseudospin operators for the model Hamiltonian. The absorption and dispersion response of interacting CTEs associated with a weak probe field in the presence of a strong pump field is calculated in terms of the linear response theory. The numerical results are different from those of a driven two-level system with a weak probe and give a first example of gain without population inversion in a system of interacting CTEs.
