摘要

In order to achieve efficient steel ball surface defects automatic detection,coordinating with the structure that a row of balls roll on an one-dimension rail while two cameras snap images at the same time from above,a novel steel ball surface image processing method is proposed.This method can efficiently and accurately distinguish whether a steel ball has surface defects.Because several balls in a row are detected at the same time and different kinds of defects can be detected out without having to be classified,inspection efficiency is enhanced.Tested with the 1.5mm micro steel balls,this method performed well.
