The amount and composition of residual gases formed in sealed ampoules loaded with different elements or binary Ⅱ-Ⅵ or Ⅳ-Ⅵ compounds and subjected to various thermal processings, annealing and/or resublimation conducted under different conditions were investigated. The results of these experiments are discussed in terms of the procedural, thermochemical, and kinetic limitations to the process.
