摘要

An investigation into the development of a model to cost the implementation of effective quality systems was undertaken. A review of the existing approaches and methods of quality costing was completed. Data from a variety of surveys with UK companies and data from existing US data were used to develop a prototype database. This is the initial phase of the programme. The cost of implementing HACCP and Quality Programmes will continue to be measured from secondary data and the predicted control costs and failure costs assessed in the pilot companies which will assist in further development of database.
